　　2013年11月4日，“‘跨界·实验’2013北京国际当代金属艺术展”在中华世纪坛世纪大厅开幕。这是迄今为止国际金属艺术领域水准最高，参与国际最多，规模最大的主流当代工艺美术的盛会。
　　本次展览由中华世纪坛管理中心、清华大学美术学院、中国国际贸易促进委员会北京市分会共同主办，由中华世纪坛当代艺术馆、中华世纪坛艺术基金会、清华大学美术学院工艺美术系联合承办。展览以“跨界·实验”为主题，旨在促进金属艺术与当代艺术、原创设计、公共艺术等艺术门类之间的互动和互补，以国际化的视野和专业化的研讨，探索当代金属艺术的生存现状和发展方向，打造国际性的高端学术平台。中国有色金属报中国有色网有色赏鉴-金属工艺品频道作为“特约媒体”跨界参与，跟踪报道。
　　展览共邀请到来自瑞典、英国、德国、日本、韩国、美国、挪威、澳大利亚、意大利等19个国家和地区的184名艺术家的458件作品参展，其中不乏跨文化、跨学科、跨材料的金属艺术精品；同时还邀请10位来自英国、瑞典、日本、韩国、美国等知名国际艺术家、设计师、教育家举办学术讲座，介绍他们对跨界创作的感悟。展览将通过国内外高水品金属艺术作品的展示和高层次学术研讨，拓展金属艺术的研究范围，深化金属艺术的国际交流，为中国乃至世界金属艺术提供试验的可能和发展的灵感。
　　展览作为第八届中国北京国际文化创意产业博览会分会场之一，积极响应“首都设计创新提升计划”的基本要求。清华大学美术学院在金属艺术领域一直发挥着学术引领作用，中华世纪坛曾成功举办过德国、意大利、英国、西班牙、韩国等设计展和北京国际设计周，已逐渐形成海淀区乃至北京市文化创意产业集群发展的新典范区域。展览将影响力从金属艺术领域拓展到原创设计、当代艺术、公共艺术、艺术教育等方面，促进金属艺术与其他艺术门类之间以及国内外艺术家之间的互动和交流，形成以学术研究为导向、以作品展览为依托、以产业化为方向的链式发展模式，必将推动中国金属艺术的进一步发展。
　　本次展览预计持续11天，将于2013年11月15日结束。

　　2013 Beijing International Contemporary Metal Art Exhibition opens at China Millennium Monument
　　Nov 4th 2013, "Pushing Boundaries & Chasing Challenges" 2013 Beijing International Contemporary Metal Art Exhibition opens at China Millennium Monument.
　　This exhibition is held by the Administration Center of China Millennium Monument, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University and CCPIT Beijing, undertook by China Millennium Monument's contemporary art gallery, Beijing China Millennium Monument Art Foundation and Department of Arts and Crafts, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. The exhibition chose "Pushing Boundaries & Chasing Challenges" as the theme, aimed at promoting the interaction and complementation among metal art, contemporary art, original design and public art, explore present situation and development of contemporary metal art from international and professional perspective, create an international academic stage.
　　We invited 184 international metal art artists from 19 countries and regions including Sweden, UK, Germany, Japan, Korea, USA, Norway, Australia and Italy.etc and their 458 metal art works.There are some fantasitic metal art works which are cross-culture, cross-subject and cross-material. At the same time, there will be 10 representitive artists from UK, Sweden, Japan, Korea and USA to introduce their creation idea and inspiration of pushing boundaries.The exhibition will expand the study range of metal art, deepen the international communication through exhibiting the high level metal art works and holding the high level seminar. It will provide new possibility and inspiration of development for metal art of China and the world.
　　As one of the parallel sessions of The 8th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo, the exhibition positively responses the basic requirement of Capital Design Creation Promote Plan. Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University has always played the guidance role in metal art's academic field. China Millennium Monument has successfully held German, Italian, British, Spanish, Korean design exhibition and Beijing international fashion design week. It formed the new model district of Haidian district even the Beijing cultural and creative industry. The exhibition expands the influence from metal art to design art, contemporary art, public art and art education, promote the interaction and complementation among metal art and other kind of art, form a chained development patterns which guided by academic study, relied on exhibition, aimed at industrialization. It will bring Chinese metal art to a new level.
　　This exhibition will last for 11days, end at Nov15th, 2013.
